Today turned out to be one of those wonderful, clear, crisp, sunny December days that just called for a walk in the park so we went off to Rikugien garden.

Rikugien is one of the major gardens in Tokyo, designed in the early 1700s and based on the theme of Waka poetry. And the great thing is it is only about 15 minutes walk from our house.

It is a stroll and mountain garden so we wandered the paths for about two hours or so.

The fall foliage was still brilliant.

It was a wonderful day and we topped it off with a late lunch at Freshness Burger on our way home.
